Passion to learn is a prominent component of GE culture. GE China Learning Center was established in 2003 to provide GE employees and customers in Asia with the same high quality training and education programs as their counterparts can enjoy in the rest of the world.

The Learning Team is committed to a unique and exciting mission to enhancing GE’s growth and competitiveness through:

  • Orientating new employee, both external and acquired
  • Establishing the understanding and appreciation of compliances
  • theories and behaviors
  • Developing of leadership skills and key leaders
  • Building customers and partner relationships
  • Developing professional and career enhancing skills
  • Sharing and transferring of best practices among GE businesses

A rich variety of programs are offered at Learning Center, areas covered including: Leadership, Professional Skills, Commercial, Finance, Six Sigma, Functional Programs and Customer programs. The center has been developed as the place in China for GE employees and partners to meet, learn and share best practices. Since May 2003, over 15,000 learners have attended the training programs at Learning Center and benefited from the leadership and professional training opportunities.

On top of classroom training, GE also provides 1,000 plus of free e-learning courses on subjects like coaching, project management and English Languages. Numerous other development opportunities are provided through assignment, workshops and lectures in various places in China.

Learning is part of GE’s daily life. Learning center continuous to partner with GE employees and customers in offering the best programs.
